How should Christians respond to climate change?!

A day conference on the Christian response to climate change hosted by The Rt Revd Brian Smith with expert speakers:

  • Chris Rapley, Director of the Science Museum in London
  • Elaine Storkey, President of Tearfund
  • Michael Northcott, Professor of Ethics at the University of Edinburgh
  • John Ferguson, Manager of Strategic Projects at the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency

About the conference.

Come and find out more about the science and theology of climate change and how you can respond to the challenge, working with others in Edinburgh. You will have the chance to question the experts, exchange ideas and practical tips with other delegates, and leave with some specific actions to take. This is a unique networking opportunity with other Christians from all denominations across Edinburgh.

The vision behind the conference is for Christians in Edinburgh to be leading the way towards a low carbon lifestyle and, linked with it, the rediscovery of some old spiritual disciplines and virtues which enrich our faith.

The conference is organised by the Edinburgh Climate Network, a group of volunteers from churches in Edinburgh.

"Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?"
says the Lord [Isaiah 6:8]
