There are two SCVO green events:
I. Half-day conference: Friday 19 February 2010, am Positive Spin: Making sense of climate change

The disappointing outcome at Copenhagen demonstrates that we can’t wait for international leadership on climate change: we must pursue grassroots action to drive change. For people to act on CO2, such change must be seen to be positive, long-term – and relevant. This means making climate change make sense to individual circumstances and highlighting the benefits of behaviour change. It also means empowering people, removing barriers and encouraging collective action.  This half-day event aims to explore how the work of the voluntary sector in Scotland can support efforts to catalyse engagement in climate change.  The diversity of the sector presents opportunities to reach across society, but how can this best be done?  They need your views!

II. Workshop: Friday 19 February 2010, pm Getting Green: Supporting practical action

'How can our organisation be more energy efficient?' 'What are the opportunities for improved waste management?' 'How do we encourage staff to become carbon savvy?' 'What is a travel plan?'  These and a raft of other questions on ‘greening’ your organisation will be answered in this surgery session. Experts will highlight the support and advice available to voluntary organisations and will tailor discussion to answer your own queries on how to go about environmental improvement.

And if you're quick, there are still opportunities for exhibitors.
